Week 6: The Switch Up

This week I took the time to change some things about me. I had been planning on doing this for some time. Phase one is completed which was hair color. Although I wanted the color to be more vibrant, I do like the color. It was my first time using a box dye, but it did get the job done. It covered most of my grays I did miss 2 strands, but I will be fine.

I used the Dark and Lovely 421 Vibrant Violet. In my opinion it came out more red then purple. I can’t unsee cherry cola. My grays however are a pink/purple color which gives it a tinsel feel. I think in the light it’s brighter but its not doing too much which I like.

Phase 2 will be me installing micro locs in my hair. I have an idea of how long it will take but hopefully 2 days will be enough. I will keep you all updated on the process but I’m excited.
