New Years Resolutions… JK but we do have goals

Its about that time again when we all try to hit reset and be better than the year before. It normally starts with realizing the year is ending and being unsure if we’ve made any progress from the year before. Like I said in the last podcast I do have a journal, and it helps me see where I was and compare it to where I am. So, I’m going to drop a few tips on how “We”, yes all of us, are going to keep progressing come the new year.

1: We are not going to set unrealistic expectations or goals.

When I say unrealistic, I mean we are not going to set ourselves up for failure. We can not pay off $8000 in debt in a month on a small salary, even with the side hustle. We will not be breaking ourselves down trying to work 36 hours in a 24 hour day. We rebuke the burnout. What we will do is put an extra amount of money towards the monthly bill to bring it down quicker. Even if its an extra $15 on top of the minimum amount owed. you can do more or less just make sure you are not stretching yourself too thin.

2: We are going to practice healthy habits.

Small things like drinking water or drinking more water for the water drinkers. Choosing better food selections. Getting exercise in innovative ways. Working on our spending habits. We want healthy bodies and healthy wallets this new year. And of course, practice giving ourselves the time the space and the grace. Finding peace whenever and wherever we can.

3: Try new things.

Like I said before, small things count. Taking a new way home or tasting a new.

Taking a class. And speaking of online classes I recommend Alison. They are a free online learning site with over 5000 classes. Earn a certificate or diploma for a subject or skill of your interest. What I like the most about Alison is that you don't have to worry about free trial limits. You can take any course and not feel obligated to try to finish it if you don't mesh well with the class. Trust me I have started a few a that either went over my head or didn't hold my interest.

The only time you will come out of pocket for Alison is when you complete the course and you want to download you certificate or diploma. But by then you already have the knowledge.

Now back to the regular scheduled program.

Saying yes to something you would normally say no to. Small things add up.

These are just a few things. I might break each of those down in another post but y'all get the idea. New year better habits.

Until next time.
