Please Don't

Now I'm not perfect, far from it actually. But some of the things people do blow me. How can you ask me with a straight face to not get your mail wet when it's pouring buckets outside. You know I work outside, all day as a matter of fact. And you're telling me ways you think I could do my job better. A position I'm sure you've never held ever in your working career. That's fine, you can get it off your chest so you can feel better. I can't promise I'll take your advise but hey, you feel better right?

To the creeps who think its cute to approach me with "Can I walk with you miss mail lady?" or "I love a working woman" can take several seats and back all the way up. I'm sure you do love a working woman seeing as its 1:45 in the afternoon and you are out here with me. What is your job sir? And who said I liked working? This isn't a choice, these bills won't pay themselves and I like to travel. I don't have sponsor for these things so I go to work everyday. I thought about the sugar daddy angle but I don't like touching strange men.

To the ones who enjoy quoting "nor rain, nor sleet, nor snow will stop the post man" in terrible weather, please stop. Yes, it is terrible out here. And yes, I'm sure it's nice and comfortable in your house, but I didn't make that pledge. We aren't Green Lanterns sworn to protect our section of the galaxy. I agreed to deliver mail in mostly safe conditions. I say mostly because even on nice days I have to look out for loose dogs, hidden holes and uneven terrain in tall grass.

For the watchers in their homes, I'm not stealing your mail. Trust me, I'm trying to get rid of it not keep it. Oh, and the complainers of not receiving mail, I can't deliver what I don't have. It's as simple as that. Make sure your address is correct before you buy things online, forward your mail or anything else along those lines. It's not always my fault you didn't get something.

Thank you to the givers of water in the summer, and the ones who shovel and salt their walkways in the winter. Much appreciated.

From a hard working woman try to keep it together,

Didd1y
