Pizza + Wine = Fun Times
Hey guys, welcome back. I'm half rested from my long weekend. I had a wine and pizza party which was more fun then I thought it would be. I don't host parties, this was my first time inviting people to my house in the two years I've been living here. I was at a bit of a lose because I wasn't sure what my guests wanted to eat. In my head I knew what snacks I wanted and I had the wine. But I knew I needed to feed them actual food, not just chips.
So I did what any hostess would do, I sent a group text and waited for the response. I asked what they wanted and I received the "we're not picky". So of course I couldn't go off of that, we're women. We just act like we don't know what we want. We know. So I said I was getting pretzels and chips and that was it. Not two mins later I receive:
"Can we get a cheese spreed? Since we're sipping wine?"
"Can we get Buffalo chicken dip with the chips?"
"Some fresh fruit?"
Needless to say I made the dip because that was what the ladies wanted. It was pretty good, I should have taken a picture, But they ate it all. I got the recipe from Pinterest, they have all the snack hook ups.
Here's what you need:
-1 pound of cooked Boneless shredded chicken
-8oz of Cream cheese
-1 Cup of shredded Mexican cheese blend, (cheddar, pepper jack, mozzarella) or you can use blue cheese. I don't like blue cheese personally. The thought of eating moldy cheese turns my tummy. I also don't like the taste.
-1 12oz bottle of hot sauce, I used Franks Red Hot sauce but you can use whatever you like.
-And finally some ranch dressing, the recipe calls for 1 cup, I just drizzled some on top before I threw it in the oven.
Cooking Instructions:
-Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
-Combined chicken and hot sauce in a bowl, I used about half the bottle and I added to taste so you might need more or less. I let the chicken sit over night but you don't have to.
-Spread the cream cheese into the bottom of an un-greased baking pan or casserole dish
-Top the cream cheese with the chicken
-Add your cheese on top of the chicken
-Drizzle your ranch dressing on top of that
- Bake for 20-27 mins until it's bubbling and melted
-Server with tortilla chips or potato chips or just eat it straight because it's delicious.
When I make it again I'll take pictures.
Well that was cooking with Didd1y. Had no intention of going down this road but here we are. Hope you guys give it a try.
