These Boys

I wasn't aware of how badly I needed this in my life.

If you haven't heard Amazon prime offers many perks, including movies and TV shows. This is something I hadn't utilized until recently. If I had known! I literally have 10 days left on my free trial of prime and I wish I had done more with it. They even let me extend it for another month. I need to do better. Amazon just dropped this show called The Boys, which is based in a universe where people have super powers. Fun right?

In this marvel/dc combination world there are The 7, the cream of the crop of super heroes. They are the best of the best and marketed to the public like the money makers they are. 

You're introduced to the characters super and regular in the first episode and you get to see all the things you thought went on behind the scenes of S.H.I.E.L.D. Our main character is just a regular guy who quickly gets caught up in a tragedy and we get to watch how the story unfolds around him. There's a bunch of character development throughout the season and the ride is insane. It's how I would imagine the Justice League or the Avengers being when they're not saving the day. You see them as normal people with all the flaws that come with being human.

I fully enjoyed this show. It's not for the kids, so keep the young ones away. The violence in this show is graphic, Amazon has no filters. I binged watched it in two days and I don't feel bad about it, productivity is for the weak. The season is 8 episodes and each episode has no down time. You will not be bored. Again, not for the kids. I can't wait for the next season, which is currently being filmed at the moment so the wait may not be too long. I did my best to not tell the whole storyline or give away spoilers. You know how it is when you want to share what you just witnessed. 

Bravo Amazon, bravo.
