Beer & Tots
Anyway, she invited me out to this cute little beer garden called the Constitution Yards. They have a wide selection of draft beers to choose from, along with the option of canned cocktails and wines if you're like me and haven't fallen all the way in love with the taste of beer. On my next visit I will make sure to try at least of their beers, just to say I had beer at a beer garden, but I was there more so for the atmosphere. It's an open space with tons of walking room and places to sit. We went on a Sunday afternoon so I can't say how packed it is on a Friday night. My night life days are slowly diminishing. A quiet place where I can hold a conversation without yelling and or not have to dodge junk people is my kind of place. The staff is nice and diligent, bathrooms are clean considering they're trailer bathrooms. Not quite porta potty but definitely not an indoor restroom. There is running water to wash your hands so be afraid when you walk in.
My sister and I settled for chicken fingers and waffle fries with the beer cheese my sister recommend. The food was good, the beer cheese wasn't my favorite but I think it had cooled off a bit before it got to us. We sipped on these delicious slushy cocktails, I had the hurricane and my sister got the mango. Listen, when I tell you this drink hit the spot on that beautiful day. Made my day. Long story short if you have good company and just want to chill in a good area with good vibes go to the Constitution Yards. It's lovely, I would have done axe throwing there but I had my toes out. If axes aren't your thing they also have wiffle ball, badminton, and corn hole. You can visit their website at http://www.constitutionyards.com or follow them on Instagram and Facebook @constitutionyards. If you happen to be in the area you can just GPS over to them.

Let me give you some reference to this random, not great photo of these crab tater tots. If they weren't delicious they wouldn't have gotten this shot out but these suckers hit the spot. So here's what happened, towards the end of our day we decided to order these crab tater tots my sister said were amazing at Docklands Riverfront, less then a 5 minute walk from Constitution Yard. They have live music, an outdoor bar and seating for the restaurant. I'd say stop by, the only issuehad with them was how long it took for us to get our food.
Now it may have been the fact we ordered through DoorDash pick up instead of just ordering from the bar, but technology makes you lazy with all its conveience. we weren't trying to walk anymore, just grab the food and head home. Again, probably our own fault for not ordering directly from the restaurant. It took an hour for them to have it ready for us. I don't know if they had to clean and shell the crab, grow the potatoes, I don't know. I wasn't in the kitchen watching the chefs do their thing. What I do know is that the app said the food would be done in 20 minutes. The first time we walked over there and the hostess told us they had just put in the order. We said ok asked how long it would take, she says another 20 minutes. We go back to our little corner in the shade and watch the doordash app push our time back further and further. We ended up calling the restaurant for the status of the food since doordash was just throwing out all kinds of times. long story short it took an hour to get our food which should have taken 20. But the food was delicious so it was worth the wait.
