That book I'm writing
Hey guys, thanks again for coming back and visiting my little personal blog. I want to thank my 3.5 readers who return every Tuesday and Friday to read about my personal rants and weekly adventures. I appreciate you all. With that being said, I started writing a book. Well, more like a few short stories. They have been bouncing around in my head for years. I've never really had the chance to sit down and get it all down on paper or my laptop to get these thoughts and ideas together. I always start writing something but never quite got through the actual story. They pop into my head as a scene and from there my imagination tends to wonder off into endless possibilities.
This excerpt I'm going to share with you, is from Jax. It will be about a secret agent brought back into service after one of her fellow team mates goes missing. She has a few secrets of her own and special abilities that make her a walking weapon. I haven't quite figured out how I want her story to play out just yet. What I do know is that I want her to be done well, and I will probably have to do some research to make it all come together. This is will be a short preview but I hope you all like it.

She opened her eyes, keeping still not to wake Davis. She
sat up letting the sheets slide down her mahogany body. Her skin was smooth from the shower and shea butter she had applied earlier before Davis had gotten a hold of her. She sat waiting for her eyes
to adjust to the darkness of the room. She felt the breeze from the balcony drift
throughout the room gently rising the curtains. She shifted her attention to Davis
who was snoring hard from their evening activities.
'So much for the extra
protection,' she thought with a smirk. She had only invited him along for an extra
pair of eyes and ears, among other things. Knowing he was an ex Marine she knew he would be able to hold his own should something go down, but she had hoped his presence would have at least deter her tracker. She ran her hand down his chest admiring his chiseled frame, he had
backed up most of his tough talk, but the sun was a way a ways from breaking the
horizon. Davis snorted, then continued to snore louder. She rolled
her eyes and slide out of bed. Brushing her box braids out of her face she put
on a robe and began to inspect her top floor hotel suite. She had had a visitor not too
long ago. She walked around the kitchen
island sliding her hand over the counter top as she pasted it. She grabbed a glass from the cabinet and proceeded to the fridge for some ice water.
'He should be almost down
the building,' she thought to herself while taking a sip of the water. She
watched the curtains billow up as the ocean breeze swept into the room again. She
put her glass down then walked to the balcony. Looking out she took in the
beautiful view of the full moon reflecting off the waves. It lit up the night sky like a sliver sun, leaving the grounds visible with little shadow. She turned her focus to the small punctures on the balcony
railing. If you weren’t aware of them, they would have almost been invisible. She leaning her head over the balcony she looked down to the ground, she was at least 10 stories up, taking
notice to the shifting bushes below.
'He’s arrogant,' she thought to herself
knowing this visitor was the one who had been following her for months. She had
finally decided to let him get close, but she didn’t think he would get this
close. She made a mental note to break in whoever this new kid was they gave
the task to track her. She didn’t mind being chased and located, but wasn’t a
fan of having her personal space intruded upon.
She knew it was a calling card she’ll have to answer. It had been 5 years since the "incident". They had all went into hiding knowing one day they would eventually be tracked down. By one way or another. She wrapped her arms around herself thinking of the past and looking back over the water.
‘The
beach,’ she thought ‘Davis and I need a beach day anyway, nice and public. I
can wear that new bikini I just bought. With the beads all over it.’ She nodded to herself
then turned to head back to the bedroom. Removing her robe she climbed into
bed and onto Davis, he owed her 4 more hours of fun.
I hope you enjoyed my attempt at story telling. Again I want to do a book of short stories, the way my schedule is set up however it will be a while before I have them complete. I might do 3 different stories, but you guys will be the first to know when it's done.
Enjoy your weekend!!
